Grainger's overseas service with the 7th Middlesex - 15 May 1916 to 2 July 1916. Overseas service with the 5th London - 3 July 1916 to 10 September 1916.

Regimental numbers: 3042 - 7th Middlesex. 10776 - 5th (City of London) Battalion.
