We are pleased to announce that Louise Archer will be speaking at the 2019 Lloyd's Register Foundation International Conference.
Louise Archer is Karl Mannheim Professor of Sociology of Education at UCL Institute of Education. Her research focuses on educational identities and inequalities in relation to social class, ethnicity and gender. She has directed a number of large national studies focusing on what influences young people's engagement and participation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), including the ten year ASPIRES/ASPIRES2 study of young people's science and career aspirations age 10-18, the five year Enterprising Science project, and the UK side of the four year Youth Equity+STEM project.
Louise is particularly committed to achieving impact through research and was awarded the British Educational Research Association's 2018 Impact and Public Engagement prize and is a finalist in the Economic and Social Research Council's 2019 impact prizes competition.
