These are the current programmes promoting safety and public understanding of risk:

CHIRP Maritime, UK Reporting of maritime hazardous incidents and near misses, reported in CHIRP Maritime Feedback and reviewed by the Maritime Advisory Board. 

The Conversation, UK Funding a dedicated technology editor for this news website where every article is a collaboration between an academic and a journalist. Over 20,000 academics and researchers have written for The Conversation reaching a monthly audience of around 11 million people globally. 

The Foundation for Science and Technology, UK FST policy debates. The FST is one of the premier UK bodies for the facilitation of debates between parliament, Whitehall departments, devolved administrations, and the business and research communities, on policy issues with a science, engineering, medical or technological element.

Delivery of a foresight review based on expert engagement about the availability and nature of global safety data, and the value and feasibility of leveraging big data and AI technologies to integrate structured and unstructured data into a global safety outlook portal that will enable better data interrogation to enhance policy and decision-making. 
National University of Singapore Lloyd's Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk (LRFI). Undertaking research and education and building connections with practical end-users from policy makers to the general public. Aiming to build a better understanding of the socio-technological processes and factors affecting public opinion forming.

Nesta, UK Safety Grand Challenges. Nesta's Challenge Prize Centre will carry out activities to identify, prioritise and recommend solutions to address the greatest risks to safety of life and property related to the critical infrastructure on which society relies. 

Royal College of Art, UK Safe ship boarding, a Safety Grand Challenge for students under the theme of enhancing safety of life and property.
