Summary:
LR's Maritime Decarbonisation Hub (MDH) is pleased to partipating in the Singapore Pavilion at the COP28 Blue Zone.
The ‘Voyage to Net-Zero Forum’ seeks to mobilise stakeholders from across the maritime ecosystem to contribute to this ongoing conversation. It recognizes the influence of COP28/CMP18/CMA5 as the pinnacle platform for discourse on climate change strategies amongst valued industry and government leaders. In line with the revised IMO’s GHG reduction strategy for global shipping, the Forum strives to further our enhanced shared goal to reach decarbonise by 2050, whilst reaffirming our commitment to adopt green fuels and develop roadmaps in our voyage towards net-zero.
The forum will include discussion on the IMO-Singapore NextGEN Connect initiative, which aims to bring together industry stakeholders, academia and maritime administrations to develop inclusive route-based action plans for the Asia Pacific region. LR MDH, as the winner of the inaugural NextGEN Connect Call for Proposals, will present on the insights gathered from participants and the way forward.
