Lim Tit Meng, Chief Executive, Science Centre Singapore

Associate Professor Dr Lim Tit Meng is the Chief Executive of Science Centre Singapore.  He is a biologist graduated with a doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge in 1987, after attaining a BSc (Hons 1) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1984.  He concurrently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, NUS.  He is an elected Fellow of the Singapore National Academy of Science and Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Biology.

Dr Lim’s sphere of influence in science academia and industry is far-reaching. A major contributor to science education, he has championed the STEM Applied Learning Programmes in schools and is continually involved with the Ministry of Education to evolve the STEM education landscape in Singapore. He has given numerous talks to popularise science and promote STEM learning, locally and globally.

Dr Lim is the President of the Singapore Association for the Advancement of Science, President of the Singapore National Academy of Science. He is also a member of the Singapore Bioethics Advisory Committee, and the Temasek Foundation Liveability Executive Board. He has been the President of the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres (ASPAC) since 2016. He has also served on the Board of the US Association of Science & Technology Centers (ASTC) from 2013-2018.
