Shane's main responsibilities involves the Foundation’s small grants programmes as he works across the Foundation's grants portfolio supporting team members and Foundation colleagues.

Fauziya is a Programme Coordinator at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, passionate about social impact and advocacy, she is dedicated to building human capital and raising awareness of key social issues, particularly in Nigeria. 

Suela is a philanthropy expert with over eight years of experience in grant giving, specialising in education, resilience, and mental health. At Lloyd’s Register Foundation, she oversees the World Risk Poll and leads funding processes.

With 34 years of experience at Lloyd's Register, Dr. Daryl Attwood has held key roles as a surveyor, project manager, and safety and risk specialist. In his current role with the Foundation, he focuses on advancing safety initiatives within the fishing and domestic passenger ferry sectors, drawing on his extensive expertise. 

Ben is a highly skilled Senior Programme Manager with over twenty years of private and public sector experience, working internationally to deliver agile, evidence based programming and locally-led safety leadership. He currently is the lead for several high profile programmes within the Foundation's Skilled people for safer engineering portfolio.

Gina is a qualified Librarian and Artist with over 10 years’ experience working in academic and cultural institutions. She is passionate about making information and research accessible and engaging, in diversifying and giving space to alternative and underrepresented voices and sharing knowledge through collaboration

With a background in Development Studies, Candace has worked with an international non-profit, gaining experience in programme management and leading education initiatives that drive social impact.

Mathea is the PR and Communication Executive at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, managing digital communications, including website content, direct mail marketing, and social media to enhance the Foundation’s online presence.

As our Chief Executive, Ruth plays a pivotal role in driving the Foundation’s strategic direction and leading its charitable mission to engineer a safer world. 

Emily Cameron, Programme Manager at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, leads projects with a focus on heritage grants and managing key partnerships. With a background in cultural heritage and science, she has held roles in national museums and consultancies.

Dean is the Chief Operating Officer for the Lloyd’s Register Foundation with primary responsibilities for Finance and Governance within the organisation.

In his role as Head of Digital Development, Sean oversees the Foundation's digital infrastructure, strategy and ways of working.

Melanie has been with Lloyd’s Register and Lloyd’s Register Foundation for over 20 years. In her current role, she manages the Director's day-to-day operations, coordinating communication, diary management, meetings, and team efficiency. She's also the go-to for organising team-building and social events.

Camelia is the Engagement Manager at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, responsible for sharing the Foundation’s mission, programmes of work, and global impact with colleagues across our trading company, Lloyd’s Register (LR).

As a PR and Communications Manager at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Sam focuses on strategic communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and digital content management to promote safer infrastructure and skilled engineering.

Beth is the Foundation’s Director of Strategic Communications and is responsible for the Foundation’s brand, campaigns, thought leadership, media relations and events programmes.

Ellie is the Collections Assistant, supporting the care, documentation, and digitisation of the foundation archive to enhance accessibility for researchers and the public. With a background in British archaeology and heritage, she brings a strong appreciation for material culture and a passion for preserving and sharing its stories.

Aaron is a Senior Data and Insight Scientist at the Foundation, he works across multiple Global Safety Evidence Centre products, with a particular focus on the World Risk Poll and leads on data analysis. 
 

Natasha plays a key role in supporting all ongoing digital projects, focusing on the development of web content and ensuring that everything is consistently up to date.

Muntasir has a background in Engineering and Materials Science, with extensive experience leading R&D and product development across hardware, software, and semiconductors.

Stephanie is the Leadership Team Manager at Lloyd's Register Foundation, supporting the Chief Executive, COO, and Senior Management in driving project work and facilitating key decisions. She also leads the Administration Support Team.

Nancy is the Director Evidence and Insight, leading the Global Safety Evidence Centre at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, as well as the World Risk Poll and the Impact of the Foundation ensuring the delivery of high-impact evidence products. 

Milly has been working within philanthropy for over a decade, previously within the international women’s rights space.

Dagmara is a partnerships and business development professional skilled in philanthropy, private sector and development finance.

Divya manages day-to-day operations, coordinating meetings, organizing files, handling supplier setup, and ensuring timely invoice payments to support the director and maintain operational flow.

Grace is the Foundation’s Head of Communications and is responsible for raising awareness of the Foundation’s work and its brand through media relations, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.  

Sarah manages the interpretation strategy for the Heritage Centre. With a background in Public History, she is responsible for the centre’s Direct Charitable Activity (DCA) and the creative outputs for the centre ranging from written and visual content to exhibitions and displays. Sarah also manages HECs social media channels. 

Sara has 15 years of grants management experience and has been with the Foundation for 4 years, she manages the grants team and works closely with grant applicants to build strong relationships.

Konstantina is a Project and Stakeholder Engagement Manager at the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, working within the Global Safety Evidence Centre. She leads the delivery of the projects and oversees strategic engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Ed is a communications and campaigns professional with over a decade of experience in the public and third sectors. At the Foundation, he leads communications for our Heritage Centre and Global Safety Evidence Centre.

Mathew is an ACA-qualified Chartered Accountant with nearly 10 years of experience, currently serving as Head of Finance and Risk at Lloyd's Register Foundation. He specialises in financial governance and risk management.

Busayo is a Data Analyst at the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, creating accessible, insight-driven reports for decision-makers and contributes to evidence analysis within the Global Safety Evidence Centre.  

Poonam role involves her providing essential support in organising the team’s activities, managing director diaries, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Jan is Director of Technologies at Lloyd’s Register Foundation and is responsible for the Foundation's activities in enhancing safety through high technical standards.

Luca has a background in Cultural Heritage Studies, oversees engagement projects and maintains a dynamic network of stakeholders, managing inquiries and content for the Heritage Centre website and supporting various events and workshops.

Louise leads the Heritage Centre's research, interpretation, and engagement strategy, guiding stakeholders in advancing maritime safety. She shares specialist knowledge to highlight the importance of maritime history for the ocean economy. Her team develops flagship projects and key research themes, generating insights that inspire long-term change.

Zach is an Archivist at Lloyd's Register Foundation's Heritage Centre with over 5 years’ experience working in a variety of Museums, Archives, and heritage institutes with a passion for the preservation and care of heritage collections.

Heather is a Senior Communications and Campaigns Manager and is responsible for raising awareness of the Foundation’s maritime work through campaigns, events programmes and media relations.

Zoe is our office manager, overseeing the day to day operations of the office. Zoe supports staff with administrative needs such as ordering of office technology and overseeing facilities ensuring the office is functional.

Grace is a values-driven Events Manager with a strong track record in delivering impactful corporate events and strategic communications. Known for her energy, emotional intelligence, and organisational flair, she brings over a decade of experience across the energy and non-profit sectors.

Elizabeth is a Reviews and Synthesis Manager at the Foundation, working within the Global Safety Evidence Centre where she leads the collation, synthesis and maintenance of high-quality evidence synthesis products.  

Emily is a Research and Trial Manager at Lloyd’s Register Foundation. She leads on primary evidence collection and research methodology, with a particular focus on quasi-/experimental approaches, within the Global Safety Evidence Centre.  

As Archive Officer, Sascia is responsible for cataloguing the Foundation’s Archive holdings, assisting with enquiries, and supervising onsite users of the Archive upon reopening.

David led the Foundation's strategic communications and global engagement team for five years, creating coalitions of partners and developing campaigns to achieve our mission of engineering a safer world. 

Tim Slingsby is Director of Skills and Education at Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

Alex is the Director of the Heritage Centre at Lloyd's Register Foundation.

Olivia leads maritime safety initiatives at the Foundation, managing strategic partnerships and projects. With over a decade of consulting experience for maritime charities, she is currently seconded as a Senior Advisor to the World Maritime University, supporting policy efforts.

Ryan joined the Foundation in 2023, heading up the HR Function as HR and People Development Manager. He is a HR Generalist, having previously worked in a number of different sectors but specialising in Not For Profit and Education.

Rachel is our office manager, overseeing the day to day operations of the office. Rachel supports staff with administrative needs such as ordering of office technology and overseeing facilities ensuring the office is functional.

Zarina is an International Education Programme Manager with 18+ years of experience in grant management, dedicated to expanding access and inclusivity for marginalized communities.

Caitlin is the Senior Project & Stakeholder Engagement Manager at the Global Safety Evidence Centre, overseeing the quality assurance of its projects and strategic engagement with stakeholders. Caitlin also manages the World Risk Poll – the Foundation’s flagship project. 

Dana is the Senior Impact Manager at the Foundation, overseeing the creation and use of evidence in our grant making and charitable activities to maximise impact. She develops systems and leads continuous learning initiatives for impact planning, monitoring, and evaluation, with a particular focus on generating new insights into how safety is conceptualised, measured, and valued as a result of the Global Safety Evidence Centre programmes.

Susana manages the Heritage Centre website. She is also responsible for growing the reach of the Foundation through both organic and paid search campaigns. With a background in Public History, Susana manages the Heritage Centre's video output, creating compelling narratives for TikTok and managing YouTube uploads. Susana also supports on the Foundation's digital transformation, ensuring the seamless integration of new systems.

Currently serving as Head of Programme Delivery at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Chris specialises in the operation and financial planning of the grant programmes.

Jodie has over 5 years’ experience as an administrator and works in conjunction with our grants coordinator to cover all aspects of the day-to-day operations providing excellent service to our grant holders and Foundation colleagues.

As the Centre’s Senior Archivist Max assists the management, development and accessibility of the archive and heritage collections, with oversight of preservation/conservation, acquisitions, selection, archive arrangement, appraisal and cataloguing.
