Lloyd's Register Foundation invites proposals from consortia of universities and research organisations for preparatory grants to establish an international research consortium in nanotechnology. The objective of the preparatory grants is to fund the initial stages of assembling the consortium and to support the preparation and submission to the Foundation of a coordinated follow-on full proposal for a longer-term research programme covering the next 5 years. The full proposal will be funded separately.
Preparatory grants will be funded for three consortia from which up to one follow-on proposal will be funded via a competitive process. The preparatory grants will be for a duration of up to three months from date of award. The Foundation is allocating around £3-5m over 5+ years for the follow-on programme for the successful consortium.
If you have any question about the call for proposals please contact Melanie Collins or Ruth Boumphrey at nanotechnology@lrfoundation.org.uk.
