Nancy Hey

Nancy joined the Foundation having set up and led the What Works Centre for Wellbeing for ten years as part of the evidence informed policy and practice innovations globally, as well as working across sectors as a global leader in the field of wellbeing and social progress.  Before setting up the Centre, she worked in the UK Civil Service as a policy professional for 15 years in nine departments, setting up the professional policy community and working across skills, public health, justice and constitutional reform.

She has degrees in Law and in Coaching and Development, specialising in emotions and in learning systems. Nancy holds a wide a range of advisory roles, past and present, including as an expert advisor to the OECD and to the UK House of Lords Life Beyond Covid Committee. She is a Trustee of the National Centre for Creative Health and a Leadership Fellow at St George’s House, Windsor.
