Nancy is the Director of Evidence and Insight at LIoyd’s Register Foundation where she leads the Global Safety Evidence Centre, the World Risk Poll and the Impact work of the Foundation.
Director of Evidence and Insight
Nancy has extensive experience in evidence-informed policymaking, having previously established the UK’s What Works Centre for Wellbeing and having worked across sectors as a global leader in the field of wellbeing and social progress. Before establishing the Centre, she was a policy professional in the UK Civil Service for 15 years, establishing the professional policy community and working across public health, skills, justice and constitutional reform. She is a Leadership Fellow at St George’s House, Windsor Castle, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Trustee at the National Centre for Creative Health. She was awarded an OBE for services to wellbeing and tackling loneliness in 2025.
