Paula Haynes

Paula was appointed as a Trustee of Lloyd’s Register Foundation with effect from 1 January 2024 and is also a member of its Audit, Risk and Investment Committee, having been appointed to that role on 1 April 2023.  Paula was appointed as a member of the Lloyd’s Register Group Limited and Lloyd’s Register Foundation Remuneration Committees with effect from 16 January 2026. Paula is also a member of the Grants and Direct Charitable Activities Committee and was appointed in November 2024.  

Paula has spent 30 years in international banking and financial markets and is an Enterprise Risk Management specialist. Paula was a Board Advisor and European Chief Risk Officer for the investment bank and wealth manager, Stifel Financial Corporation for 10 years, until 31 December 2025.  Previously, she worked in senior investment banking and advisory roles with firms including HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and with the Prudential Regulation Authority.

Paula is a Non-Executive Director (Co-opted Governor) of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and she represents “Enter the Boardroom” as an Ambassador. She holds a PhD in Space and Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College, London.
