This infographic ranks industries by how dangerous they are, based on how many workers reported being seriously harmed or knowing someone who was harmed at work in the past two years. Fishing, construction, and mining are identified as the most hazardous sectors globally. The data comes from a large-scale global survey and highlights the varying levels of risk across different types of work. This infographic was created in collaboration with Visual Capitalist to illustrate the concept of our 2024 report, 'Engineering Safer Workplaces: Global trends in occupational safety and health'.
