The Lloyd’s Register Building will be opening its doors for a self-guided tour, offering visitors a unique opportunity to discover its architectural heritage and maritime legacy.

Overview

Discover the historic Lloyd’s Register Building on a self-guided, one-way tour exploring its architecture and maritime legacy. Follow an informal route through the General Committee Room, Classing Room, Boardroom, Grand Hall and libraries, with an exhibition on the building’s evolution and the organisation’s impact on maritime safety, supported by heritage staff and collection displays. 

Visitors can expect to enter the building at any time between 10-4pm for a self-guided tour. Last entry 3:45pm. There will be interpretation panels in each heritage room, an exhibition positioned in the General Committee Room, video animations played throughout the building on media screens and knowledgeable volunteers situated in each room to answer any questions visitors may have.
