Alex Stitt

"This is a great moment to join the Heritage and Education Centre and the wider Foundation. The HEC is about to complete a milestone project digitising a large part of the LR archive and re-presenting that to the world, both on-line and in the new physical centre in Fenchurch Street. We now want to push on from here to create a centre which will have global impact, increasing the understanding of the role the ocean economy has had in shaping the modern world."

"With 15 years’ experience in digital media, including working with a national collection, I am confident that I can lead HEC in the next stage of its evolution into a global resource. I have an MBA from INSEAD which means that I have a wide range of management and leadership skills, and my commercial experience, both as an entrepreneur and within blue chip corporations, will give me a strong appreciation of the interests of the wider LR group."
