Matthias Altendorf

Matthias was appointed Non-Executive Director of Lloyd’s Register Group Limited, Trustee of Lloyd’s Register Foundation, and Chair Elect of both organisations, with effect from 1 June 2026. He currently serves as President of the Supervisory Board of Coltene AG and Ameropa Holding AG in Switzerland. Previously, he held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Endress+Hauser AG from 2024 to April 2026, following his tenure as Chief Executive Officer from 2014 to 2023.

His professional journey began at Endress+Hauser in 1986 as an apprentice, progressing through leadership roles in sales, marketing, and research and development. Matthias is a member of the Supervisory Board of Kistler AG and has participated in select committees of the German business associations ZVEI and WVIB. He is the founder of Bionic Leadership and is a recognised practitioner in corporate governance, regularly lecturing at the Sloan School of Management at MIT, USA, as well as at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne. He successfully completed the Certified International Directors Programmes at Harvard Business School, USA, and INSEAD, France.
