Olivia is a Senior Programme Manager at Lloyd's Register Foundation. She leads the Foundation's work on the safety of maritime systems, develops partnerships, and manages areas of our maritime portfolio.

About Olivia
Olivia leads much of the Foundation's work on the safety of maritime systems, developing partnerships in support of our objectives, and managing parts of our maritime portfolio. An anthropologist by background, Olivia has conducted extensive research in the Philippines, in various ports, and aboard ship. She has also been a lecturer at Goldsmiths and senior research fellow at Greenwich Maritime Institute, and has extensive experience of brokerage at the research-policy/industry interface. She has more than a decade’s experience of consulting for maritime charities on topics relating to worker safety and welfare, and a prior background in publishing, journalism and the arts. Currently, she is seconded part-time to IMO’s World Maritime University in Sweden, where she is a Senior Advisor supporting the organisation’s policy involvement.
