Keynote talks, panel discussions and interactive sessions

Building on the momentum of Women in Maritime Day 2026 (18 May 2026), this gathering brings together researchers, industry leaders, global advocates, and allies to honour the rich legacy of women’s contributions to maritime life—and to help shape what comes next. Through keynote talks, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, we’ll explore how research, storytelling, and visibility can drive meaningful transformation across the sector. With thought‑provoking materials on display, hybrid participation options for international audiences, and insights from leading voices worldwide, the event promises to spark inspiration, connection, and forward momentum.

This online programme showcases the power of history in shaping a more inclusive future for maritime industries. From WISTA International’s global viewpoint to expert-led explorations of women’s maritime histories, first‑hand testimonies from pioneering professionals, and discussions highlighting the impact of exhibitions, digital platforms, and community networks, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how reflecting on the past can fuel progress today. The day concludes with a collaborative plenary—“You can do it! She did it.”—inviting everyone to contribute to the next chapter of change. We end with a celebratory book launch and refreshments, marking not just the close of the event but the beginning of exciting new work across the sector.
