During the course of 2022, we have funded over 50 new projects in 12 countries, investing over £14million in support of our mission to engineer a safer world. ‘Together’ provides a snapshot into the work of ten of these grant holders in the seven countries around the world where they deliver impact.

Discovering Safety

Every year, over half a million workers in the UK are injured, with over a hundred losing their lives. Discovering Safety, an initiative led by Helen Balmforth and supported by the Foundation, is using vast amounts of safety data to transform workplace health and safety.

Engineering X

A partnership between UNHLC and Engineering X is tackling Africa's open waste burning, aiming to reduce it by 60% by 2030 and eliminate it by 2040 for a safer future.

Safetyknot provides culturally tailored safety training to prevent injuries in low-income countries, reaching 7,000+ people with support from the Foundation.
