100A1 Ambassadors

Extending our global presence

We are fortunate to have a range of people who share our cause and have agreed to act as our 100A1 Ambassadors. They are associated in different ways with the Foundation including people from our grants community, Advisory Council, Trustees and colleagues and employees from LR.

The 100A1 programme is in its early stages and the list of current ambassadors appears below. This will grow as the scheme progresses. Our 100A1 Ambassadors will be promoting the work of the Foundation and raise awareness of our mission.

The Foundation provided me with great support and opportunities during my PhD; it is both an honour and a pleasure to promote its mission and causes.

Sophie Damy

Foundation funded PhD student, Imperial College, London

The Foundation's mission embodies an attractive engagement in societal advance, and the C and C++ languages that I work on originated with Bell Labs, who also follow that impulse.

Dr Mark Batty

Foundation funded RAENG research fellow, University of Kent

I’m delighted to be promoting the work of the Foundation, and its unique position as a truly international funder of high-impact research for safety and the protection of life.

Professor Michael Fitzpatrick

Foundation Advisory Council member and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Coventry University, UK

I'm delighted to be one of the first 100A1 Ambassadors and to support the aims of the LR Foundation particularly in outreach and widening access to cutting-edge science.

Professor Saiful Islam

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures speaker 2016

Knowing the Foundation’s work it is my pleasure to contribute to it through the 100A1 Ambassador programme and to raise the awareness of its charitable mission and its causes.

Aleksandra Bujkovic

IMLI Graduate Foundation Scholar

Being a 100A1 Ambassador gives me a platform to promote the Foundation’s support for safety and resilience related research to my global academic and practitioner networks.

Dr Chad Staddon

Director, International Water Security Network, UK
